Residencies and Collaborative Work

I’ve been invited on a few residencies and love working collaboratively with artists from other disciplines, extending the reach of my own practice. I learn a lot from other practitioners and enjoy the discursive nature of working together on a piece of art that could not exist without each other’s input. Below are a few examples of recent residencies and collaborative work.

  • Catalyst Essay: Experimental and Genre-Bending Essays Essay Workshop.
Workshops with Karine Polwart, Ruth Little, Amanda Thomson and Elizabeth Reeder culminating with a performance of experimental essays. Sponsored by the Royal Society of Edinburgh and held at Scottish Poetry Library, Edinburgh and CCA, Glasgow. 27th April and 11th June 2017.
  • Thinking through the Anthropocene: Arts & Sustainability Residency
Residency at Cove Park with a range of artists, curators, and academics, exploring the way the anthropocene is configured and used. Funded and organised by Creative Carbon Scotland. 30th September—4th October 2016.
  • Jerwood Residency at Cove Park with electro-acoustic composer Timothy Cooper and calligrapher Susie Leiper, working on our collaborative piece ‘Nothing is Lost’, 11th—25th July 2016.
  • The Written Image: The Human Animal Covers Itself in Text
